Elephant Toothpaste
Chemistry
Materials:

empty plastic bottle
-
dry yeast
-
warm water
-
liquid soap
-
3% hydrogen peroxide
-
Food coloring (optional)
-
measuring cups
-
a tablespoon
-
safety glasses (you can also use goggles)

a funnel
-
a large tray
Procedure:

Pour ½ cup of hydrogen peroxide into the water bottle.

Add one big squirt of soap into the bottle

Mix the soap and hydrogen peroxide together

Add food coloring here if you want to (make sure it is the liquid food coloring and not the gel food coloring). Be careful what tub you use to catch the mixture because the food coloring could stain it.

In a separate bowl mix together 1 tablespoon of yeast with 3 tablespoons of warm water.

Put your safety glasses/goggles on quickly and step away as you pour the yeast mixture into the water bottle.

For clean up: wash out the water bottle and recycle it or reuse it; wash out the tub you used.
